Christina Pretto is Managing Director and global head of Communications & Public Affairs at Hudson. Ms. Pretto has 30 years of experience in external and internal financial communications and corporate brand marketing.
Prior to joining Hudson in 2016, Ms. Pretto served as the chief communications officer for American International Group. For seven years, Ms. Pretto led the communications efforts to revive AIG’s reputation following the U.S. government’s $182 billion rescue of the company in 2008.
Prior to joining AIG, Ms. Pretto spent eight years in senior roles at Citigroup, including her last as managing director and global head of public affairs. In that role, Ms. Pretto served as Citigroup’s chief media spokesperson during the buildup of the subprime mortgage crisis starting in 2006 through the U.S. government’s injection of $25 billion of capital into Citigroup under the Troubled Asset Relief Program in 2008.
Ms. Pretto began her career as an English teacher and then became a bond market journalist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
