Alex Grau

Managing Director

Alex Grau is a Managing Director at Hudson, responsible for overseeing asset management of corporate private equity and special situations investments across North America and Latin America. Mr. Grau has more than 23 years of experience in private equity and corporate credit investments spanning performing and non-performing deals across a range of industries.

Prior to joining Hudson in 2017, Mr. Grau spent ten years with American Capital, where he managed control and non-control equity and credit investment through various stages of their lifecycle from distress and turnaround to growth and exit. Earlier in his career, Mr. Grau held strategy consulting roles with McKinsey & Company and Strategic Pricing Group (acquired by Deloitte).

Mr. Grau holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Fellow. Mr. Grau also holds an inactive Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) designation from the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
