Michael Kolbeck

Michael Kolbeck is a Managing Director and Head of Europe Corporate Investments at Hudson, responsible for overseeing the underwriting and asset management of corporate private equity-related opportunities and investments in Europe. Prior to joining Hudson in 2017, Mr. Kolbeck was a Managing Director at Lone Star in Germany, where he co-led the initiative to grow Lone Star’s European private equity practice, and also led the origination, underwriting, and oversight of various European corporate distressed debt and equity investments. Mr. Kolbeck has 26 years of experience investing in European corporate equity and debt situations.
Prior to joining Lone Star in 2004, Mr. Kolbeck worked for several years for Allianz Group’s alternative investments division, where he directed a team that invested according to an active value strategy in European mid-caps.
Mr. Kolbeck holds a Master of Business Administration from the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich.
